[[EDITED FOR BETTER WORDING ON PROPOSAL]] I'd like to put forward a proposal for the corpora, which I understand will be another month before it could be voted on.
The subject matter has to do with althings, specifically how they are scheduled.
Althings are very important, because more often than not it is the only time when policy for the park is truly decided and also a forum for discussion on a variety of topics.
Because it is important everyone have the opportunity to plan accordingly and to know when they should or should not be especially available I make the following proposal.
Current language under 4.1, 2.A reads:
a. Local Althings must be scheduled at least once per month, but may be
cancelled if there is no business. Additional Althings may be scheduled as
required.
Propose change to:
a. Local Althings must be scheduled at least once per month, but may be
cancelled if there is no business. Additional Althings may be scheduled as
required. An Althing must be announced at least one or more weeks prior to the scheduled date.
As it stands right now, say I was the monarch and I wanted to push a vote on something or call a vote on something very important, I could decided to do so literally 10 minutes before. This proposal makes sure everything is honest and also guarantees at least a little time for people to prepare for the coming meeting, such as writing up proposals, etc. Also, being only a week, it's not too strict on scheduling.
