What do you like best about Fury? What do you like least? If there was one thing that defines the event for you, what is it? What War/A&S/Roleplaying events do you feel are traditional and need to be included in a Fury event? What types of games/events have not happened at Fury in the past but you'd like to see in the future? Feel free to expound about the event franchise in any way that you feel appropriate.

To me, Fury is Kingdom Coronation but GE is more of a Interkingdom event. That's just how I view them. So Fury should be more about GV - its history and traditions.

My history does not go back as far as many, but Fury was my first Amtgard event. It was 2008 I believe. To me the best thing about Fury has usually be the night quest. We've had some great ones both at the YMCA and at YOC. I'd like to see more long term quests (Friday night quest that leads into Saturday day quest and possibly a Sunday quest finally.) I'd like to see more RP happening BESIDES quest, but that is something that individuals just have to "make happen" rather than be scheduled.

I have to agree with you there Fredrick. In general I feel like there is not enough RP in our LARP. I know for me, a part of the problem is I modeled Ignacio after Cliff so as to aide myself in being able to play him easily, so there is little to show when I am Ignacio or Cliff. I know that some groups are heavy RP, though my home park is not, so that could be where much of my sentiment comes from. Still, I do feel like there should be more RP. That said, for some of us we only have ourselves to blame for feeling that way as we could always be doing open RP. That said, I love questing, so I will support people questing all the times.

The problem with RP (that Fredrik is trying to solve, to be fair) is that people have different levels of investment and, frankly, sanity when it comes to RP.
My character, Bowen, is the "in character" holder of my various accolades in the game; so when the hook for a quest is "Goblins are invading", he is very concerned, but he isn't going out there himself, he has his own lands to run - he might send some of his army to assist or attack the Goblins from another side etc. Bowen is stuck up, lacks empathy, and has no quams about keeping the peasants in their place.
So that is my character, which is fine, it lends itself well to other ways I RP through Amtgard. That said, even if I flubbed justification so he could go hunt bandits with everyone, adventuring with a half-undead/half-dragon child of multiple gods is not enjoyable.
That is not to say people must RP the way I think they should, just that there should be a line in the dirt somewhere and folks on the special snowflake side should be encouraged to take a few steps toward the other side in my opinion. I hope Fredrik's system will help with that!
