[Ran on 11/9/13. Annwyn Coronation quest]
[2 NPCs: Brunthor, Raiyta]
[9 PCs: Wriel, Dee, Seito, Laharal, Kerowyn, Dathwyn, Perrin, Nardo, Masumba]
[QuestMaster: Ritari]
The adventurers of Annwyn were asked, by a magical scholars guild, to research the disturbance on the outside of town. In the past weeks, strange sightings have been seen in the sky (imagine the northern lights, except forming shapes). This guild has confirmed that there are two encampments within the lands of Annwyn that were experimenting with different types of unknown magic, and must have been the source of these sights.
The adventurers traveled between both camps, and learned of their motives. The first camp, lead by a man named Paul, a prophet dedicated to the worship of a being named Reva, whom he believed to be a goddess from the heavens. However, helping this prophet came with a price. By 'ridding the world of heretics' and gathering their souls in order to “pierce open the skies” and connect our world with this heaven, the disciples of Reva spoke of establishing their church of Reva in Annwyn, and their process of converting all visitors and citizens of Annwyn to their religion. The second camp's goal were no more bearable than the first. This camp was home to a group of Dark Cultists, who believed that through hemomancy (blood-based magic), they could open a portal to a hellish underworld and bring forth the days where their demonic lords would rule over Annwyn.
As each adventurer talked to both camp's leaders and relayed their messages back to the guild, it became clear that at least one of these camps must be destroyed, and that neither would engage the other unless they believed that their side had a clear advantage.
Ultimately, the Blood Cultists were wiped out, and at the same time, the disciples of Reva managed to gather enough soul energy to open their portal. However, Paul and his disciples were not able to complete their ritual. As the group moved off of the battlefield and back towards the Revite encampment, they felt themselves being pulled towards the capital city of Annwyn by a supernatual force. As this force swept them off their feet, the force began to move faster, until the force became so powerful that it left each person unconscious. The last thing each player remembers is seeing Annwyn's Multidimensional Gateway Device spinning and generating a portal, with the force sucking them in.
