Althing notes for 6/11/2016 (day/month/year):
- Kendall opened speaking on the fact that Lichwood grove has reached Barony numbers, with no numbers below 20 in a while, out lowest number being 20 unique sign ins in may of this year. Confirmed by Damian that even in this past TaCD term there were no months under 20 unique sign ins.
- Kendall proceeded, pointing out that the only negative he saw in the park upgrade would be the higher requirement for crown qualifications. He proceeded to mention just what players can do to obtain these higher requirements.
- Damian jumped in and mentioned crown qualification cultural tournaments are also a good opportunity for candidates to show off some work they can have done ahead of time for their position.
- Mike Gross then mentioned that as an aside the Northern Empire would also be looking at the diversity of governement. This then brought up Kendall mentioning this would be his last term as government but that he would be more than willing to help. Damian also mentioned that the government is entirely willing to help out those looking to take up positions and teach people interested.
- A bit of discussion proceeded over the topics of needing government members, of how the bid process would go and then floor was opened to questions.
-Kat St.Clair asked if there would be any other negatives to gaining the upgrade. Kendall did not really find any beyond government, and Mike Gross mentioned keeping the numbers but commented that it shouldn't be hard while gesturing at the group of players gathered for the field day
- A bit more discussion took place concerning numbers, field was left open to questions, no further were brought forward.
-Kendall ended off by asking for a show of hands of who enjoys Amtgard, who wants amtgard to keep being the way it is for Lichwood, and who wants to take office. Reiterating the point that he would like to see new blood in government, and that to continue to keep the game of Amtgard for Lichwood as fun and enjoyable as it is for everyone that all of Lichwood needs to be willing to step up for leadership as eventually if no one does it will burn out the core members and be detrimental to holding together what amtgard is to Lichwood.
