Issue #3 - Combine individual event funds into a general event fund.
Current Structure:
March Coronation - $254.00
Great Eastern - $3,439.40
Fury - $263.96
December Midreign - $0.00
Proposed Structure:
Events - $3,957.36
Purpose:
Currently, our more profitable events are only benefiting future instances of that event and nothing else. Under the proposed structure, our four yearly events would share the burden of making our Kingdom Events run each year.
~~~~~~~~
Issue #4 - Event Fund Cap
Place a cap on event funds. All funds in excess of those caps will automatically be placed into the general fund.
Current Structure:
Event funds are theoretically unlimited. As long as events continue to make profit, the funds will continue to grow.
Proposed Structure:
March Coronation - $500.00 maximum
Great Eastern - $4,500.00 maximum
Fury - $4,500.00 maximum
December Midreign - $500.00 maximum
Purpose:
Originally, the BoD’s only responsibilities were to manage the event funds. Now, the kingdom must transition to meet its current needs to function as a business. Part of this includes using our primary source of income (namely, event profits) to fund our activities, such as paying for insurance, the Amtgard International yearly budget, and other mundane expenses.
Note: If both this proposal and Issue #3 ("Combine individual event funds into a general event fund.") pass, the general event fund will have a cap of $10,000.00 (the sum of the individual event fund caps) and all funds in excess of that will go into the general fund.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Issue #5 - Send Payment to AI for GV's share of the annual budget
This vote is to fund the budget (spend the money). Our share of the budgetary expenses for fiscal year 2019 is $900.55...
A copy of the budget is provided below :
Althing Proposal:
Approve the payment of $900.55 to the Amtgard International Board of Directors for Goldenvale's share of the Total Budget Request for Fiscal Year 2019.

Issue #6 - Split event profits between event fund(s) and general fund.
Current Wording:
Events, Althings, and Elections > Kingdom Events > #11: "Kingdom Coronation and Midreign events will include $2 from each entry fee that is designated for the Kingdom and will be added to the general Kingdom coffers at the end of the event."
Events, Althings, and Elections > Kingdom Events > #12: "Any profit made by the event must be given back to the Kingdom Board of Directors to be placed in the proper event-associated fund within seven days of the final day of the event."
Proposed Wording:
Events, Althings, and Elections > Kingdom Events > #11: "Kingdom Coronation and Midreign events will have 50% of their profit designated for the Kingdom and will be added to the general Kingdom coffers at the end of the event."
Events, Althings, and Elections > Kingdom Events > #12: "Any profit made by the event must be given back to the Kingdom Board of Directors to be placed in the proper funds within seven days of the final day of the event."
~~~~~~~~~
Issue #7 - Profit Guideline for Event Bids
Current Wording:
Events, Althings, and Elections > Kingdom Events > #4: Bids must include a budget with attendance estimates, gate fee, site costs, and itemized supply costs for each crat position on the bid. This should designate which costs which will be covered by the Kingdom coffers, if the bid is selected. Bids should also include any planned fundraising."
Proposed Wording:
Events, Althings, and Elections > Kingdom Events > #4: Bids must include a budget with attendance estimates, gate fee, site costs, and itemized supply costs for each crat position on the bid. This should designate which costs which will be covered by the Kingdom coffers, if the bid is selected. Bids should also include any planned fundraising. Estimated profit must be at least %10 of the estimated cost."
Issue #8 - Unify usage of various terms surrounding membership.
Issue #9 - Change where proposals for the Kingdom Althing are submitted.
Current Wording:
Events, Althings, and Elections > Althings > Kingdom Althings > #1: "All Kingdom althing proposals must be posted as individual threads in the althing
subforum of the official Kingdom forums. This will be linked to the Kingdom Facebook
group for ease of access."
Proposed Wording:
Events, Althings, and Elections > Althings > Kingdom Althings > #1: "All Kingdom althing proposals must be posted to the official Kingdom group on Facebook."
Purpose:
Since the last time I proposed this, there have been 10 threads posted to the Kingdom Forums for the purpose of making proposals to the Kingdom Althing. All but one of them were written by myself (Mike Mayer started the one thread that I didn't). Obviously, this method of communication isn't working.
~~~~~~~~
Issue #10 - Change to wording regarding residency
Current Wording:
A. To be considered a resident, a player needs to maintain a minimum level of attendance in
Goldenvale.
1. The player must have signed in 8 times within the previous 6 months. No more than
2 weekly sign-ins per month may be counted for calculating residency.
2. A player is entitled to residency in a second chapter within the Kingdom if the above
requirements are fulfilled, but with the added restriction of only being able to vote in
Kingdom althings and Kingdom elections and to run for Kingdom office at a single
chapter.
a. Sign-ins may take place anywhere in the Kingdom, but at least 4 sign-ins
must be from their home park.
Proposed Wording:
A. A player is considered a resident once they meet the following requirements
1. The player's credits must be stored at their home park.
2. The player must have signed in at that park 8 times within the previous 6 months. No more than 2 sign-ins per month may be counted for calculating residency.
a. A player is considered a limited resident at other chapters within the Kingdom if the above attendance requirement is fulfilled at that chapter. Limited residency only applies for local althings and elections at their other park(s). It does not allow a player to vote in kingdom althings and elections, nor does it allow the player to run for local or kingdom office from their other park(s).

Issue #10 - Change to wording regarding residency

2 weekly sign-ins per month may be counted for calculating residency.
2. A player is entitled to residency in a second chapter within the Kingdom if the above
requirements are fulfilled, but with the added restriction of only being able to vote in
