Hi guys, I have recently (like today recently) been appointed the Goldenvale Rules Representative. For those who have been here a while, you know this is a position I filled for a number of years. The big buzz this year is, of course, V8. Feel free to send me any V7 issues you would like covered, but if you have played V8 and are a player in a group sponsored by the Kingdom of Goldenvale, please take the time to fill out this quick survey: V8 Survey

So in the newest release of the v8 handbook, (and other revisions) seem to have either missed or removed the declaration of states ending. In previous rule books (and i may be mistaken) there have been rules about declaring the ending of a "state" or spell. (Ex. Entangle, stun, etc.) So far i haven't been able to locate any passage in the new rule set that defines any declaration of a state/spell ending. Personally I've experienced someone not declaring the end of a state to purposefully gain an on field advantage. This issue may have appeared at other parks and someone may have already posed this dilemma, however i can't find any postings anywhere. Just an observation.

There won't be any changes to V8 this year, but I will keep it in mind for when that happens. Two things to keep in mind here, previous rule sets have not forced this, however if a player is abusing a gray area in the rules to ruin games and upset people, your Reeves should be handling that.
